... and my wish was granted by Andrew Powell. He sends these splendid photographs of the larger inner Neolithic ditch in 1972 (season supplied by PWD). Andrew has thoughtfully included himself for scale in the top photograph and it shows quite how big these ditches were. As he says the ditches "took some emptying". My apologies to those of you who have got used to my early morning habits for the late posting today: I'd forgotten that I hadn't got anything in store!
